Trey Zeigler Recruiting Update

After missing out on Harrison Barnes last November the Duke coaching staff began looking at other options to fill their needs for an athletic wing guard/forward.  One prospect that came on to Duke’s radar was Trey Zeigler, a 6’5” 200lb guard from Michigan.  Unfortunately, the Blue Devils’ relationship with Zeigler began very late in the recruiting process and despite several visits and contacts with the class of 2010 guard the coaching staff has not been able to truly cement Duke as a leader for Zeigler’s services.   While Duke is open to hosting Zeigler for a visit this spring the coaching staff realizes that Michigan, Michigan State, UCLA, and Arizona will be tough to beat out.  At this point in time Duke is not expecting Zeigler to be a part of their plans for 2010, but the staff will maintain some contact with Zeigler until his recruitment is officially over.
